You definitely will want one of those 300+ yard drivers that are so popular on here.

You’ve came to the right place. I’m sure some professionals will chime in and help you out. You’ll be hitting it an average of 285 off the tee in no time.

Not many people fit off the rack clubs You’re starting yourself in a hole if you don’t get fit Brands are like pickup trucks, they’re all the same, but everyone thinks theirs is the best.

Any of the major manufacturers will be fine. The biggest thing is to figure out which shafts work best for you. I’d recommend going to a demo day at a local course so you can hit multiple brands with all available shafts. That’ll get you started but there’s no substitute for lots of practice if you want to really improve your game.

Order a set from Pine Meadow Golf. They're "clones" of name brand clubs but significantly cheaper.

Is there an Edwin Watts golf shop in Tuscaloosa? Go and get a consult with them, they usually have sets on clearance.

I've never heard any insinuations that they're illegal copyright infringements. People refer to them as clones but they change them up quite a bit from the real deal. Also, they've been around for years and they're a US company, so I'd imagine if there was a legal issue, it would've been addressed a long time ago. All I know is I wanted an inexpensive set of clubs when I was in the market several yrs back and I found mine and they got great reviews. I've been pleased with them.

I was in the same boat a couple years ago and looked up classic, quality second-hand clubs on Google. Did a little research and bought a set of Ping Eye 2s on eBay. They’ve been awesome. There are plenty great sets of clubs used out there that have been replaced with the latest and greatest by avid golfers. Just make sure you get the right shaft flex and length to fit you.
I just enjoy riding around in the cart, drinking beer and telling lies.

I have no problem with it, but it is what it is. They’re copying someone else’s work for free
