Something that separates low end and high end ARs is definitely the trigger group that comes with them. My experience has been that most low end builds have a gritty/real heavy/long travel trigger vs a slick, lower poundage trigger for a little more money. Trigger group and chamber / barrel coating. I know some don't like chrome lining due to accuracy but for longevity / reliability it's necessary. If you are looking for a match / target A.R. then that may not be what you want. But if you're looking for a mil spec sure enough combat weapon then get your A.R. with chrome lining or some other type of lining. Colt / FN / LWRC / and about all your upper end rifles have this for a reason.

I’ve got a YHM lower. My bro says I need to buy a trigger. He likes the BCM PNT.

I've gone the cheap route with PSA EPT triggers with JP enterprises springs. Not a timney, but not bad.

Most of the fancy ones are made for Battlefield Barbies and Tactical Timmy types. The more money they spend the better they think their weapon is. Might be fancy, yes, but "better" is relative.
If you want a real one get an LMT.

The new Springfield Armory Saint is interesting to me. That looks like a solid value from at least the specs. The new Springfield Armory Saint is interesting to me. That looks like a solid value from at least the specs. I’d give anything Springfield Armory a hard pass after they were caught working with Democratic politicians in Illinois. Too many pro 2A companies out there to give them any money. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ions-to-anti-gun-rights-politicians/amp/For the OP, it really depends on what you want in a rifle. What gas system do you like? Handguard? Trigger? Precision shooting, Home Defense, something to hunt with? Memorial Day is coming up and most places have great sales that weekend

Triggers are not very expensive, and easy to change. I like CMC triggers, but there are lots of good ones, including Geissele and POF

After reading some reviews it seems LMT is a quality rifle for a decent price.

If you ever decide to sell that lower, let me know.

Be watching the classifieds.
I think I've decided I'm going to clean out the safe and let AC sell them on consignment..... He'll move some inventory there is little doubt.

If it were me, I'd call Cole Blackmon at Tactical Outfitters, tell him what my budget is and what my wants were along with the intended use, and have him build me the best gun possible within that budget. I would also ask him which components, if any, he would recommend upgrading from that original build, as money allows going forward.
Yep... Cole does great work. I do a lot of my own guns but when I don’t my own for some reason, I call Cole. Dang good prices too.

I bought one a few years back from Tactical Industries in Taft TN. (same guy who makes the 22 conversion kits) HE did all the machine work right there in TN. Of course he did not build furniture, springs or the barrel but he did the rest. I thought that was cool, and worth my $$$ at the time at least. One benefit to him making the whole thing was that I could get it with any serial number I wanted, or any other engravings I wanted done easily. I am not sure he is still doing those, but if he is I believe it would be worth a look.
Good luck, tons of good options out there.
