I hate taxes. 10% flat tax should be a top priority during next presidential election I'd love to see a flat tax, but the number would be quite a bit higher than 10%. The number I've seen is 22% sales tax on everything. I'd still make out like a bandit. 22% sales tax with no income tax? Still not possible. Heck, Tuscaloosa is already at 10% by itself. That would only leave 12% for the feds. Don't know...that's just the number I've seen. 44% of Americans pay zero income tax now. Many of those are drains on the government. At least with a fair tax, those individuals would begin to pay more to pull their own weight. The biggest problem I have with the fair tax would be the implementation of it, so that retired seniors wouldn't be affected by it. You'd be talking about folks that had paid income tax all their lives, and have to start paying higher sales taxes as well.

Definitely helped. Less withholding = immediate pay raise. Thank goodness, we have no deductions. Pay over half as much in on our annual return. Wise up people.

I can't remember when I got money back, but this year I get about 1200 back in state and only owe the Feds 300 and something. PTL.

Helped us. We had to pay federal only because wife dipped in to her 401k to pay for a couple of trips. Otherwise we did okay. It wasn't much.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern
