I thought about using Blackwing before I sent that one to Blake but turkey mounts are expensive enough without the hassle and expense of shipping to and from which adds a significant amount of money to the overall project. Blake was right up the road and as you can see from the pics he's really good.
He's working on a pheasant for me right now. Shipping a frozen bird there was around $15. Plus getting it back was around 75. Blake does a good job by the comparison between him and mike are night and day difference. The detail mike puts into a mount is incredible. The bird literally looks like he is alive. He most definitely does the beat heads I have ever seen on a bird.

Check with Mike "Blackwings" last I spoke to him he wasn't excepting any new birds because he is so far behind. He does great work but wait time is about a 1 1/2 years right now. Hope he gets caught up I would love to send him another.
