About to get the echo model 16 inch rechargeable. It's top rated. After using an EGO rechargeable I will never bother with the hassle of gas again. The echo is even rated higher then the EGO. For most folks I cant imagine ever needing more then that saw can do.. Has A 5 year warranty and 2 years for commercial. Thats alot of value for approx $300.

All I know is the next one I own will be a Husqvarna. I needed to do some trimming on dad's lake place this weekend and was wishing for a chainsaw. Being an old forester, I knew he had one laying around and after a little while, I found one in the back of the shed that was covered in dirt and oil. No telling when the last time it was used. It was empty so I found some pre-mixed gas and filled it up halfway. With zero confidence, I pulled the choke and gave it a pull. The 2nd pull it sputtered and dang if that thing didn't fire up on the 4th pull! I used it the rest of the afternoon and it cranked like a new saw on the first pull every time.
Dr. B Old huskies are dang near invincible..i own 2 that are more than 20 years old...new saw cant touchem....as for all yall reading this...THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR OF THE 372XP HUSQVARNA....YOU BETTER BUY ONE WHILE YOU CAN CAUSE THEYLL BE TAKEN OUT OF PRODUCTION BY MID SUMMER...OR SO IM TOLD.

The 372XP is a professional grade saw and probably the best all around saw Husky or anyone else ever made.

If you only use it for trimming around the house, get a battery powered saw. Not much you can't do with. Today, I worked with a Stihl for about 4 hours, off and on. I can borrow a gas saw if I need one, but I haven't needed one.

Poulan should be pronounced Pull’an. You can Pull’an pull, and they still won’t start.

I would never buy anything powered that Walmart sells!!!!!!!!!! I also would not buy a John Deere mower from Lowes. I WOULD buy a John Deere from a mom & pop store as they are two different mowers. Do your research. JD cheapens them down for Lowes and Big Box Stores to sell. Mom & Pop stores sells the better mover.
But anyway, Echo... GREAT chainsaw!!!!! I LOVE my Echo chainsaw and it's lasted a long time!

I dont like their weedeaters due to low power. But they make outstanding saws. I own a cs 490 and a cs 590. The 590 is a beast. The 490 will takle a 3ft thick tree easily. I bern testing these saws for the last 6 months...i swapped daws to echo. Stihl aint worth it anymore. Stihl is hard to start and over priced these days with cheap material unless you spend $500 and up on their commercial line. My cs590 is commercial grade and i love it. Great saws. I was hardcore stihl but for a saw with a 27 inch bar or less...im buying echo everytime.

Is the Echo as easy to crank as a Stihl? As far as the pull cord resistence. The saw I have starts real easy, it has to be 10 years old or more and it still starts on the second pull, I love the thing, my echo weedeater is the same way..

I have used the EGO rechargeable for about a year now. We were absolutely ecstatic when the battery finally drained as it was more work for 2 guys to clear branches, brush and trees during limbing then one guy could cut with saw on just one battery charge.. 5 year warranty also. https://youtu.be/4tBCb8MkTAA
