Stemley/hwy 34 area. Had a huge buck on camera with huge neck swolled. Fresh active scrape. Have seen 4 different bucks hit this one scrape in last 3 hunts.

It's pretty much time....really anytime from Jan 1 through about the 20th. I've got some land just 15-20 mins from you in Munford, no sign whatsoever there yet.

Seeing bucks there, but no chasing nor really signs of rutting. Past bachelor groups as all bucks are alone. Still not chasing .

I will say this though, since Jan 1st I've had two seriously big bucks show up on camera that I've never seen before. "Visitors" out roaming I reckon!

Yea I think its just a little later this year. Bucks are ready for sure. The necks are about to pop. My doe groups are still intact according to cameras, meaning no bucks around them while theyre on camera and all bucks on camera are by themselves. Next week should be hot imo.

I can tell you I got new bucks on camera this week that I've never seen before. It's all at night, and they weren't together with the does in any of the pictures, but something's up. Only about 15/20 minutes north in Calhoun Co they are chasing out of their minds right now.

So odd. Found first scrapes on Jan 5 with a mature buck swoll neck. Had a 2.5 8 pt hit scrape next day and a cow horn. Hunted most all week and put cam on it, nothing. But down the trail from that scrape, today I found 4 new scrapes that were not there on the 5th. I hunted most all week and didnt see anything. But young buckd moving midday and all does at midnight. Just found two legit rubs made early last week. Odd how late it is here in stemley but seems everyone is a little later.
