Hunting a new piece about 5 miles from
Speedway. Ive hunted two other pieces in years past, one 1 miles from speedway and the other in alpine. Saw a ton of activity christmas week in 2013 by track and chasing first week of Jan in alpine in 2017. I have yet to see any type of rutting behavior yet on my current piece. Does still have yearlings and no rubs or scrapes whatsoever. Have bucks on camera but just feeding. Anybody hunt the area and have any better historical data for a consistent time frame. Have several people tell me later January. Piece also has been hunted in over 2 years.
