I love the concept of mag performance from the shorter barrels. Any feedback other than ammo is scarce?

After a quick look at the ballistics I now want to wildcat the 300 PRC to a 338 PRC. 😁

Big Red(Winchester) &Big Green(Remington) ain't gonna put the Ruger name on a rifle or make ammo.

Not sure how the 300PRC does with regard to barrel length but it's an absolute hotrod.

Remington no longer runs the market. If they did, they wouldn't be chambering rifles in 6.5Creedmoor and 6.5Creedmoor probably wouldn't exist.

If you look at the RCM reloading data from Nosler, they are getting their numbers from a 24" barrel and the numbers are not that impressive. About the same as a .308 loaded hot. So.. that pretty much tells you why this got discontinued. They just wanted their own version of a WSM/SAUM but they tried to make it work with some kind of scout rifle flair to it and it just plain flopped as expected.

That's the bad. The good news is that they will still kill the fool out of something so if you like it get it but ammo could be an issue as time goes on.
