Taking a lady field Saturday evening...what are these Top Golf things like? What should I expect to spend on food, non-alcoholic drinks, and golf for a couple hours? Any food recommendations? For what it’s worth, I’m the baseball version of Happy Gilmore when it comes to golf.

I believe a bay is $45/hour after 5pm. You can put up to 6 people in a bay. It’s a lot of fun. Food is fairly reasonable. It’s loads of fun.

I've wanted to go and plan to put it's expensive. You're lady field may be into that though. You played baseball, you could have a dang good golf swing pretty fast if you got some good lessons.

This. It's not bad if you split it up with other people, but doesn't sound like that's an option this time. Still, it isn't that bad. The food isn't super expensive either, and everything I've had was pretty dang good! It cost more than I would spend anywhere else on that type of food, though.

Good to know. Do they pair random people up to fill up a bay or keep parties separate? I know with hibachi grills they’ll pair up strangers to fill up a table.

I've been twice, once we had a full bay, the second time we did not and its was pretty crowded, and they didn't pair people up with us. I think if you are paying it, the bay is yours.

The bay is all yours. They don’t pair you up to fill it up. It’s a lot of fun and worth the money.

It's real fun. With out drinking alcohol you'll probably be around the $75 range for an hr plus food.

May be more your first time... seems like they have a member card you have to get.

My best friends son went to one there this past Saturday. Does your grandson go to Briarwood?

You better call right now and make reservations or you could be waiting for 2+ hours.

$45 bucks ain't bad, try paying for the both of you to play 18 holes of golf some where and see what that costs....

I have been wanting to go to Top golf, If I didn't live 55 miles from downtown B,ham I would have gone already..

I’ve been several times. It is fun and the food is good. Despite what some people say, it isn’t expensive. I mean if you are going to compare it to sitting around doing nothing it is. But, show me an activity that up to 6 people can participate in for one hour that cost $45.

It’s a bit pricey for a date with just 2 people, but a group date with everyone eating, and it’s like $60, which is great.

We had team building event at top golf. I found out I did better swinging the club with one hand. Throwing the ball is frowned upon.

Ended up going last night. Lots of fun. Food was good. Service was good. Fun atmosphere. As warned, not cheap for a party of 2, but worth it given the experience. For those that play real golf...what's a typical drive distance for amateur golfers?

Depends on the person. I’ve seen an amateur hit it 220, and I’ve seen one hit it 320.

Also I think the balls and or clubs are deadened. I suck at golf so I dont know what I could hit on average but a few really good golfers I've went with said they could drive on average further than what they did at top golf.
