The ACC has historically been really bad. At least starting around 1990 after Miami fell off the wagon. Clemson wasn't good, so FSU had no competition for about 20 years. They had a good run...

I think the prez of FSU made the right decision by not being pulled into a bidding war to keep Jimbo but IMO he got into too big of a hurry to hire Taggert.....FSU is still a top 10-15 job which would have attracted several candidates

I think Miami played for 3 titles since 1990 and won 2. Played for 4 and won 2 (1991, 2001) and lost 2 (1992, 2002).

Miami didn't join the ACC until early to mid 2000's Yep. Miami owned the Big East. After that, Miami and FSU owned the ACC, until recently.
