Broken Arrow 4 point B Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 578 Milton fl	Now would be a good time. getting plenty of rain today, good soil moisture, and plenty of time befor a frost. We planted 24 plots last weekend, wheat,oats, rye, rape and purple top turnips.We are in Owassa al. Good Luck!

Sorry for that. 10 Aug. to 1 Oct. is the timeline given for planting turnips, and 15 Aug. to 5 Sept. on mustard, in south Alabama, via the Alabama Cooperative Extension office. You need to plant them before the first frost.
