Does anyone have any experience with these, particularly with the rotary head? Looks like the hydraulics are independent & run off the pto with a control box mounted inside the cab.
that's how the one we used on the fishpond levees was. pto drives the hydro fluid system via the onboard hydro fluid reservoir to control the deck position (up/down and in/out), as well as the rotary head.
Thats how the alamo brand does that we have. its all self contained. Heavy tractor required. I think tiger makes one that is a little lighter and Maschio makes them for smaller tractor

In case anybody is wondering, Alamo bought Bush Hog so an Alamo cutter is a Bush Hog brand cutter.
