I was just at Home Depot on 280 and while i was shopping i kept crossing paths with a guy who looked really familiar. I figured he was one of my dad’s friends or something. While i was checking out he got in the line beside the line i was in, and as i was leaving i turned around and asked ”don’t i know you from somewhere?” He said,”you’ve probably seen me on tv in the last year or so, i beat Roy Moore in the senate election.” I just said,”nice to meet you” and walked off. Just so happens he was parked beside me and when he got out to his Tahoe, his wife opened the back hatch and water bottles went everywhere. At that point he said,” i do that all the g** da*n time.” I wish i would have said something but i really didn’t want to go to jail for getting into it with a senator. That’s about the 2nd person I’ve met in my whole life that said g d in the first minute of meeting them and to boot, he’s our senator.

What you just described wouldn't have bothered me at all. I would have helped him pick up some water bottles,just like I would with anyone.

I'm a Christian,and I don't talk like that in public,but I think there's a lot more to a man than a few words spoken. I also am strong enough with my faith that I'm not offended by every little thing.

Well, he is a Democrat so it's not completely unexpected. A Christian SHOULD be offended by sin, just as God is.

Depends if we were sitting around him or could not move away from him. Then I’d probably said something. I can tell you your kids will hear a lot worse from other kids and probably say as bad at some point in time the older they get.

It always bothers me a little bit either way.If I were somewhere someone is continually using profanity I might ask them to stop,kids or not. It just depends on the situation. I guess I didn't mean that it wouldn't bother me at all. I meant that I wouldn't be ready to whoop somebody for a couple words in the parking lot,at least such words as were spoken when the profanity wasn't even really directed at anyone.

You should have told him even a Alabama Democrat can beat a nut job pedaphile, but that's about it, and told him he better not get to comfortable in his Senate seat.

Years back, they was remodeling a dentist office in a Dothan hospital parking lot. It was Saturday morning and still dark, we was hanging out around the front door waiting for dentist to get there and un lock it. This older guy walked up and jumped all over some the older hands, because they was dirty talking and he heard them out in the parking lot. He was sitting with his daughter in the parking lot cause she had a tooth ache. When the construction hands started getting pissed off, he told them he was a special forces instructor at fort Rucker, LoL. The whole thing was hilarious.

When I was 8 or so we were at the beach fishing on the jetties. Guy walking by said to us someone saw a god damn hammer head a few minutes ago. Without missing a beat my mother says excuse me sir, Gods last name is not damn. I will never forget it. Guy apologized and walked on.

I have met a lot of our elected representatives and been around them when the cameras aren't on during their biannual pilgrimage to Selma and there are very few that don't let loose with vulgarity fairly regularly. I'm not shocked that one talks that way. The women talk worse than most men I know.

Yes,I'm offended when someone takes the Lord's name in vain ,but in general,not enough to whoop them,and I don't think cussing is taking the Lord's name in vain. I don't like cussing though in general.

I’ll preface this with 2 things; I’m a Christian and I work in the electrical field. I promise you there isn’t a profanity or offensive saying or word I’ve never heard... or hear daily. I let it go bc I realize I’m nowhere near perfect either. It’s on a job site with grown men.

That being said, I will not tolerate foul language in front of children. I’ve called men out, to their face, more than once and I’ll do it again if need be. FWIW, it’s not always been my children that the guys were cursing in front of.


I figure any worth his salt should have enough respect to watch his mouth in front of children.

My take on this Democrat vs Roy Moore is that whatever happened between Roy Moore and those females was YEARS ago and he'll pay IF he's guilty and none of that affects us, personally, today. What's happening with the liberal Democrat serving in the state senate affects EVERY ONE of us on a daily basis and can line up legislation that will affect generations to come. How blind do you have to be to not make this distinction? Some of y'all can't see the forest for the trees.
