Looks like I am going to have plenty of combined winter grain this fall at Wilborn Outdoors in Cullman, AL (256-737-9595). I am selling two different combine runs of winter grains. One will have Wheat, forage oats, and rye grain. I am pr-selling it for $10.00/ 50 pound bag until July 01. It will go to $12.00/ bag after that date. The other is what I have sold in the past, wheat, forage oats, rye grain, winter peas, several varieties of clover, turnips, rape, and vetch for $12.00/ bag until July 01, then $15.00/bag after. I am selling it as a feed wheat product. There are no seed percentages or germination ratings.

Anyone have any experience with this??

I planted it on my place a few years ago, and it worked well. I have not used it in the past couple of years due to the drive up, and I only need a few bags.

I bought some last week. $200 for 10 bags. Has a bunch of black bugs in it and wheat looks like powder from where tge bugs have been eating it. I had been in contact on facebook and never got a reply once I asked about the bugs

Weevils, probably won't germinate if weevils have worked it over. Keep it away from any other seed or feed you have. $20/bag, Dang!

That doesn't surprise me, I'm local to them have heard the horror stories that a simple Google search will reveal. The place went down hill after father left and may pick back up if his boy takes over

Ive bought lots stuff from there over the years but never any food plot stuff or bows but I haven’t been there in years either.

No big surprise here. That's all I'll say about it.

That store is a joke.

MOST of the sports and outdoor stores ive been in are a joke. Either a wilderness wal mart or so overpriced normal people need not even go in.

Outdoor stores are a tough business. The markup needed to run a brick and mortar store makes them damn near not competitive. Many folks go to the outdoor store to fondle the products then order off the net. Unless they can differentiate themselves through great service, knowledge and also be a damn good salesman, most don't have a chance.

That's probably true but when you add shitty attitude, piss poor customer service, and crooked business practices it's amazing they stay open but I prefer to shop local and if a place has good customer service and treat customers like family I'll pay a little higher price for some stuff.

I'd say crooked business practices is this stores issues.

I have done a lot of business there at Dennis' store and I have gotten to know him personally as well. I can say that from my dealings with him he is of the highest character. My opinion of him is. I think he is straight forward and honest to a fault. He will usually give you a much lower price there than you will find anywhere else on whatever it is you are looking for. He is also, I believe one of the longest running Sponsor's here on Aldeer.

Not specifically calling anyone out here personally. I do know from most hunting forums that it's easy to say anything you want to anonymously under an assumed name like, "Honolua" (My real name is Christian Westen). It seems that only rarely is there any real substance to the ACTUAL anonymous claims. Alot of the time (Not Always), there is some past interaction that is the real source. Maybe there was a hunting lease situation or a boundary dispute, or hunting club issue. I had a guy bashing our stands relentlessly on Archerytalk, and then the same guys was bashing Tony's Calls in another thread saying they were the worst sounding calls etc. He then went to YouTube and made negative comments on even videos my little girls had made.

This went on and on and then i went to some local event and this guys ex-wife was talking to my buddy's wife and after I was introduced to her she told me that the guy that was the source of all that negative BS was a guy that I had caught trespassing several times. The last time things had gotten really heated and I was jabbing my finger in his chest etc.

So my experience is that when you can say things anonymously that will hurt someone or damage their reputation, it often has nothing to do with the current issue dous jour.

Again not calling anyone a liar just saying my extensive business and personal dealings with Dennis have been great and my opinion is that he is of the highest integrity.

I have known Dennis for 25 plus years and never had a problem. Went in there to spend money on my son’s bow, but he recommended I stick with the current set up. Plenty of places would have taken my money with no discussion.

we purchased some of this seed this year and it did not cost $20/bag. We purchased for $12 before it was harvested. Ours had some trash it in from the combine but we were fine with it for he cost. Everything appeared good with ours. I have bought a lot of seed from him over the years and never had an issue.

Not saying there wasn't issues later on, but no with ours.
