I have decided to sell my 2 ambassadeur c3 7000 reels on quantum iron 7ft heavy action rods for $150 each. I have used these rods and reels to catch sharks, large stripers, large catfish, and alligators. In a past life the rods were used to catch many many tarpon. They would also be good for snapper and grouper. They are spooled with fairly new 80lb power pro braid. Those are some bad-A rigs right there. I've got an Abu 7000 spooled with 80lb power pro on an ugly stik tiger rod and that setup will haul in just about anything that swims. I call it my "catch anything" rod.
Those are all priced well. GLWS.

Those are all priced well. GLWS. Oh yeah, they are super tough. And for those who don’t know, those combos are all priced for a little less than you can buy just the reels for. Hell, the 5500s are $120 for just the reel and they come with $50 rods. The 7000s are $170 a piece new and have rods that would cost $100 or more if they still made them. Just a penn 9/0 reel is $150 new and i would expect a boat rod with roller guides to cost at least $200. not to mention all these reels are spooled with line already
