Do any of y'all use one? If so, what kind? One that captures the feet or feet and legs? I quit wearing a vest a few yrs ago and it can get interesting trying to tote a bird for a long distance. Thanks

I have no clue what a turkey tote is or how much they cost but seems like it would be a good project for braiding paracord.
Two self tightening noose kinda knots on each end and braid up the center part that goes over the shoulder.

I've seen several made from paracord. I'm just looking for some reviews or input from actual users for the best kind to try. If you use one that just holds the legs the wings will flop unless you tie them down and possibly still have arm fatigue. Was thinking maybe one that loops around legs then other end around head would allow to sling over shoulder like a gun sling

Lord help us from rookies....

take a piece of canvas strapping maybe 16" long and fold the ends 1/2" over on itself and sew em across the strap. Tie a piece of rawhide string to make a 12" loop on either end. Insert turkey haid in one end, both feet in other end by forming a loop on either end. Place strap over shoulder and head home.....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I stick them in my vest sometimes but I have toted them by the feet over my shoulder for a long way without a problem.

I'm far from a rookie. I've always toted them in a vest until I quit wearing one a few yrs ago. Toted a pile over my shoulder by their feet, just lookin for a better way for long hikes out

It's in reference to what I suggested because I got my first turkey today, he couldn't say anything nice to me or directed at me if his life depended on it. I find it humorous really.
I looked up what turkey tote is after I posted and funny enough lots are made from paracord.

X2 I'm a big fan of theirs. Wingsupply used to have them for about $5.

I use a paracord one. Cobra pattern with loops on both ends. Tie the head and feet and carry him like a
bag. Super easy to make. When I didn’t use a vest I just stuffed it in a leg pocket. Very handy.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

Thanks for the info fellas. I'll look at the Primos one. There's a guy on GN that makes them also. N2, where'd you get yours from?

Somebody use to make em (out of paracord) and sell them on here. But I don't remember who it was

I use one that BC made. I have carried the majority of turkeys out with it. Really makes a huge difference.

BC made paracord tote with loops on the ends. I have a strap I put around the wings and cinch them up so they don't flop. I loop one end of the tote over both legs , the other over the neck , tote him like a purse.

Side note, if you're gonna tote by the legs only, hanging straight down , paracord tote better be short or his head will bump the ground.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I have a nylon strap that works great, but it also can be looped onto my vest and it holds the butt of my gun to my shoulder
