I'm in the market to replace all of my batteries. I have been looking at the Optima batteries. Do any of yall have any experience with these. Are they really worth the $$$$ you pay for them??

I used the deep cycle Interstates. I've never had an issue. I replace them about every 1.5-2 years.

I have been useing AC delco and so far I have been getting just over 2 years out of them. Got two more last week. $75/each from Westwood in Alabaster.

Best deep cycle battery I ever bought was a Craig...paid $40 for it....used to see them by the pallet load at boat shows. A lot of other brand names used to say Craig undernmeath the name brand sticker.

I've never had a problem getting 3-4 years out of the Walmart batteries. I don't fish 5 times a week, but average 3 trips a month Feb thru September.

I posted this same question on the bass fishing home page a few months ago and got a big response. I didn't find too many guys that were paying the extra money for the Optima batteries. Most guys were happy with their old favorites. The two brands that had the most followers were Interstate and AC Delco.
