Ready but I’ve got to miss opening day this year. Flying to Philadelphia Monday for work and won’t be back until Thursday night. Not sure if I’ll be able to make it Friday morning at this point depending on what I age to deal with when I get back but I’ll be after them pretty good after that.

Had about as good as a day in the woods as you can without killing one, called up 3 jakes. had one gobbling good right out of range just had to many hens with him to come.

Took the gun off safety 3 times this past weekend but couldn't get it done. Hope this coming weekend is a bit better. Sounds like my first weekend. I shot at one and it flew off. and had the safety off on 2 other birds but couldn't make it happen.

Mine are still henned up real bad. Had a good one come in silent at about 80 yds yesterday morning with two hens but they eased off with him once they saw my hen decoy. I can barely entice a gobble every now and then.

I killed a pretty good one this morning ! Finally found a lonely gobbling bird. He had two 9” beards and 7/8 spurs. 19 pounds. I’ll get some pics up later

Called ol boy into 40 yds twice on Easter Sunday, but came in behind me on 2 different set ups and I had no shot. I've got 2 big trips planned for the middle and end of April to Kansas and GA so should be able to knock my 3 out then.

Killed #3 today , a rio in Oklahoma . He was in full strut with a full fan so i shot him . He ended up being a super Jake . 5” beard and 3/8” nub spurs .
