It says reduced recoil but it still packs a little punch. I'm very happy with them. Only thing is the POI with these are a little higher than the HW7s

Not to derail your thread but since your the first to post results of these on this site I will add what I Just found on another site. "Patterned the new federal heavyweight tss #9 in my 870 youth with several chokes. Results at 40 yds: Carlson long beard choke ------(310-10) 75 degrees Indian creek .555 ------------------(292-10) Tight wad ------------------------------(274-10) SSX------------------------------------(225-10) not too even though. Trulock fed 7 choke --------------(208-10) Carlson .555 -------------------------(185-10) Rem super full (lead) ------------(175-10) Jellyhead maximum ------------- (30-10) I have no clue what happened with all the shot with the jellyhead choke. I shot a piece of cardboard that was 3'x4'. And the shot was so sparse. No concentration at all. However the Indian creek and tight wad did really well. The tight wad was a more even pattern but the Indian creek had a tighter core so i went with that choke."

My experience was much the same today. The truglo ssx is tight and somewhat tempting as it puts a lot in the center at 40 but I’d hate to know what it’s like at 20. It started raining so I didn’t find out. My trulock made for heavyweight 7s was very similar to the one above. I’m going to do a little more testing but I’m leaning either the trulock or the RSF. The RSF wasn’t bad but a little more spread out than the trulock.

I know at 10 yards the Trulock was like a slug pattern so i would imagine 20 would still be pretty tight but i was happy with the pattern at 40 if the bullets weren’t so hard to get i would try some more variations
