Has anyone used this setup? It’s a dang good idea when you don’t want to pay monthly fees for cell cams. I’m just not sure I trust cuddeback to pull it off without major issues from what I’ve heard about their cameras and customer service. I’m doing my best not to sink $1K dollars into them, but this again, is a great idea to me.

Thought the same thing johnal3.......holding out till some reviews come out. Curiously, I went to trailcampro.com and asked them by direct chat about the cuddelinks. The response was that cuddeback has asked them not to include their cameras in any of their tests and to not even sell cuddeback cameras. Thought that was odd......

I have a buddy running them and he absolutely loves them. He hasn't had any problems that I am aware of. I cant remember how many cameras he has linked up.

If the TCP site is truly independent then they could do whatever they want as far as reviews. Should they want to review a camera system then they could obtain the cameras independently, hang them appropriately and see how they work to provide a review. And explain how the products were obtained: ordering online, buying in a store, etc.

If the site was asking for products to be sent to review, and a company said "Sorry, no, we don't do that," then that's their decision. But saying, "You can't include us, don't include us." seems weird, along with the review site just blindly agreeing to it.

May be more to it than we know, though.

I know what you mean by “odd”, although I won’t call it that. It automatically makes me think that they are trying to hide something. And not in a good way. Why wouldn’t you want your cameras reviewed and shown to the public from an outside source that shows you’re the best for the best price?? Well, I’ll answer my own question..... Maybe because you strive to make money off a half ass effort of making a product. Maybe I’m wrong, but you asking trail cam pro that, and their response just saved me some money. So thanks. beers
If reviews show positive results after a while, I might try them then.

I thought about this also, but I don’t think I’d use them on smaller acreage like that. I’d hope not to have more than 2 or 3 cams on a “line”. I’d try and place the home cam near the center in an easy to get to area and have the cameras surrounding the home cam.

The only thing I can think of is if cuddeback knows or suspects they are getting kickbacks and making cameras look good/bad. Who knows, but it seems that trail cam pro does things right and their reviews are pretty accurate of most cameras.
** Edit** But being a private company or whatever, you’d think they could do as they please?? It is kinda odd...

Haha! I decided to hear it from the horses mouth and asked them myself. They responded quickly with “it’s true”. I then asked why they didn’t do it anyway. Told them I appreciated their work, but I wanted a review from an outside source before I dropped a bunch of money. I asked if they had a policy or something that kept them from doing it. They haven’t responded yet. So we’ll see what they say. If they say anything. They may tell me to go piss up a rope, but I’d like to know what the deal is with that. I also asked if there was another company out there with that same system or one that’s working on it. It’s a genius idea, and if I sold cameras, I’d be working day and night trying to come up with a way to do it. It’s a perfect way to sell thousands, if not millions cameras if you have a good product and customer service.

The camera I posted about the great customer service on was a Reconyx not a cuddeback. Old age is tough.

I called and got an RA number and was quoted $30 to replace it. We estimated number of pics on camera was 500k. I got the camera back in two weeks. They also replaced the sd card slot and some other small part, cleaned inspected and tested the unit. The camera cost twice what the next closest one cost but it's been well worth what I paid for it.

That’s good customer service there!

4, which is on the higher end of mid range cams, but they do send and receive with the radio frequency stuff, so I guess that’s why.

I didn’t. It’s kinda funny, the chat option disappeared on my phone for some reason?? I’m not real sure why that would happen.

Reason I was asking, is because I know where you can get the 4 packs for $630 , black flash or IR, with free shipping.

Has anyone ever told you, you are the man?? You mind sharing that with me? Either here or in a pm? Or I’ll send you my number in a pm if you want me to.
Do you have any info on them? Or just know how to get a good deal on them?
