Just hit me that on this day 28 Year’s ago I killed my first racked buck, not sure why that date is stuck in my brain but it is, wife said I’m crazy for remembering that and not what she told me yesterday but oh well it is what it is. Not a bad deer at all. I can remember the dates on a lot of my deer and times. Every deer I have ever killed I can tell you where I killed it and whether it was morning or afternoon but like you said I can't remember something my wife told me yesterday. I guess I have selective memory

You never forget you first rack! Mine was 30 years ago and I still recall nearly every detail. That spot has since been logged and looks totally different now...
Many racks since then and most of them bigger but a lot of details forgotten about those hunts.
I bought an ATV to get to my hunting area, now half the fun of hunting is the ride in and out.
