Especially any and everytime the engine is running, even at an idle. We have a tournament rule that any time the big motor is running, you must have your life jacket on. To not do so, results in a DQ.

William, most clubs and Tx organizations do, but too many of us don't during practice or just pleasure fishing. I'm guilty of it myself. Never again tho. Getting slung out of one gives a quick attitude adjustment. You don't have to be WOT to get slung out either.

i have fished a lot of draw tournaments, and the co angler shows up morning of tournament and says hey i need a life jacket. i usally carry a extra but it cant fit everyone. come on invest in personal life vest that will fit you.

Tournament fishing has gotten me into the habit of always wearing one. I feel weird in a boat without one on.

My 2 Mustang Elite 38s were on the porch when I got home today. They're the cat's meow and I'll be wearing them from launch to load.

Those Mustangs are nice. I didn't buy any of the ones on sale that you posted. Got too many things to buy for my boat but I had bought one earlier in the winter, just not the HIT model.
I was very guilty of not wearing, nor making my 15 year old son wear a life jacket when I had that little Tracker. I know that was stupid but that's just what I did. I told my son that anytime the motor was running on this Xpress that we'd have them on. I told him if I didn't put one on to call me down for it. Dead is dead and I'm in no hurry to go.

I primarily fish from a canoe or kayak. Usually in slow to medium moving creeks or small lakes. I always wear it. No sense in taking chances even in shallow water

Any of you guys that fish as a no-boater or co-angler, buy your own freaking vest! It's your life! yes, I always had and extra. On one tx I drew a guy over 300 lbs. No my spare would not have saved him. Do not wear a small one or a torn one. Purchase one and care for it. Your life is not replaceable. Forgive the rant, but to many guys don't consider this! If you buy an inflatable, pay attention to the pounds of floatation provided too. Get the best you can afford! Saty safe
