Just saw that Wilcox County was 24/7 Wall Street's selection as the worst county in Alabama to live in. Is that why Governor Ivey left and went to Montgomery County? She's got what it takes to straighten things out now if she wants to. Ivey still calls Wilcox County home

Is it possible to change the name of the thread so it stands out a little better? Aldeer seems to be the only media attention this is getting. It Needs to stay in the public eye.

Is it possible to change the name of the thread so it stands out a little better? Ive thought about that. Not to mention that this has nothing to do with CCW. Would not have changed what happened at all, unfortunately.

When I started this thread I was responding to the thread asking about carrying a side arm while hunting and why. When LEO release the correct details we may find out it would have helped. I can say for sure that my carrying a 45 has saved my as_ from an as_ whooping or worse on 2 occasions with the locals!

I didn’t know about the other thread. I realize nobody knows for sure at this point. It just sounds like it would not have mattered. Likely was already holding a weapon, and one that required both hands at that.

In my opinion, one major step to cleaning this area up would be to completely shut down the municipal airport in Camden. Why is it even needed? This area is infiltrated with drugs and they're not all getting here in automobiles. I would expect there are some major, well connected players (who probably aren't black) involved that are making sure the situation in these areas stays the way it is.

There are systemic problems in the area......from bottom to top!
And, you are correct that there are some 'at the top' who have a vested interest in it remaining just as it is!!!
I do not know what the true answer is. However, I do KNOW that the absolute lack a presence by ANY Law Enforcement Agency is NOT going to help one bit!

Well, as I posted earlier, the night after Season, I got a pic of a ‘local’ night hunting on my place in the same area of the shooting. I have been out of town and had to return to work as soon as I got home. So, I have not been to check things out. BUT, this camera went from sending 80-100 pics of deer a day to 1 pic total since!! I knew something was up! Now, to today....getting pics of buzzards there! I guess he killed something and left it there. OR, dumped something there.

Looks like he only waited a day before the season ended to start piddlin! They usually wait at least a week in Alberta before they start piddlin, and they keep piddlin & killing until the white folks ( and GWs) show back up for Turkey season...

The more I get 'in' and know....the worse it is! Yeah you're right they never actually quit. I remember a story from years back about a local selling Turkeys hunts (he was living at the camp too lol.) wanna say none of the members turkey hunted, then a new member joined that liked to Turkey hunt and he caught the guy up there....Don't remember much but it went something like that lol....

How does a community stay so close knit when they're screwing each other. And how to other locals buy it EBT card? Or are they bartering for drugs? 8point buck for an 8ball of crack

There is a much larger market for deer meat than most of you realize. I know about it through selling coon meat from trapping and some of the buyers are also looking for and selling deer meat. Some of the meat I have seen looks awful too, but people are paying 75 to 100 dollars for a deer quartered up from what I hear.

The going rate is roughly $100-$125 a deer, cleaned and quartered. And, they mostly go to other blacks that are from the 'city'.....Mobile, Atlanta, Birmingham, etc.
And on the EBT cards, they trade em all the time. You do not need ID......just a PIN number.

You'd think that the well known selling a "season protected" game animal just might attract some interest from our GWs. Out of season too. Wonder why they are not actively set up and catching these criminals. Especially since it is so well known that it is happening in that area and also down around the Washington County/Citronelle area. Maybe we should let Kay know that there is a huge "under the table" cash business going on down there with sales that are not being "taxed" and the state is missing out on revenue. That's probably the only way that the state would even show any interest in what is going on.

I have heard from a reliable source that there has been a meeting in Camden of some concerned locals and they are requesting for local businesses and landowners all write letters to the Gov asking for help. My wife was actually asked for us to write one by a local landowner and business owner who is helping with this and has prepared one for themselves.
