Looking at leveling up my new ride but I'm having a tough time deciding on tires. For the past 6 years I have run M/Ts and I just don't have any desire for it anymore. I'm not thinking a level with A/Ts will affect the ride but I've slept a few times since I last had them...but just from memory, the 2.5 full level I had with the BFG KOs didn't change it in the least.

Anyway, I'm looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs and from reading around, I haven't seen many people complaining of road noise or a rough riding truck. A majority of them have said they ran quiet and smooth. Have any of y'all had these tires?

I have not had the Mickeys. But I just put BFGs tako2 on and couldn't be happier.

Do not know much about the M/T's, but I have a set of Nitto Terra Grappler on my 2007 Dodge and they ride smooth and quiet so far.

I saw those on 4 wheel parts and they are running a really good deal on them. Is the ride still pretty smooth?

Everyone I've known with Mickey Thompson loved the tire, but hated the tread life, especially compared to the cost.

I got a great deal on some BFG AT KO2s and put them on my truck recently. I only have about 800 miles on them but they ride great, and have gotten quieter since I put them on. The Coopers I loved so much only seem to get louder with time. We will see about treadwear in the future, but for now I am loving the BFGs.

as smooth as the Michelin tires that were on it and with no comparison in traction. I have always had good experiences with BFG most last 5years some much longer.

I always get "the look" when I say this like its blasphemy however i'll tell you my experience with BFG. Ive said it here before. I had a set of the AT dry rot with only 30k miles on them, and yes this was a daily driver. This also happened to a set my father had and again to a set that a buddy had (buddy's was the MT).
I swapped to the toyo extreme AT2 after that and have been happy since. YMMV

Take a look at Falken AT3W all terrain tires! I just put a set on my 09 z71 with level kit and they ride and look great. If you are looking for an awesome set of wheels to go with these tires, look at the SOTA Novakane death metal wheels! I absolutely love mine! My buddy has ran a set of 35 in the same tire on a tundra and has nothing but great things to say about them!
