My place is in Pickens Co. I cant do it this weekend or next but if you'll get with me we can work a trip out. We're not exactly over run with deer but we do see deer about every trip or so and I let kids shoot anything that suits them.
I think we would have a good chance of getting him a shot anyway.
Would you be comfortable with him shooting off of a shooting stick or would he need to be in a shooting house you think?

I have several places that would be perfect to take him. Can't promise anything but I have pictures of what's at most locations and they have shooting houses. I have been having to work a lot lately and haven't even had time to hunt but two times myself but I am hoping that settles down in the next couple of weeks. I only get every other weekend off but we can plan a weekend I'm off to try and get him a deer. Got a little land in Perry and a little more in Chilton.

Does he care if he sees a deer or not. My two would rather go walking around playing in mud than sit there and watch 10 of them We sat till after 11 today because he was waiting on a deer. I asked him about 1030 if he was ready to go and he looked at me like I was stupid and asked why? I'm pretty sure he would explode if he ever did kill one. He shot a snake in the backyard with his pellet gun and you would have thought he won the super bowl

A pay hunt might be a good idea to put him on a deer, but I'd be willing to bet a week's pay that you'll have a better experience hunting with someone on Aldeer who' s willing to invest their time with you and your kid at their place than you would at a pay to hunt place. If I had a place close to you I'd be more than willing to invest the time to put y'all on a good hunt.
It be worth it just to see a thread on here with pictures of the successful hunt... best of luck to you and your kid.

If you want to come down to Crenshaw county, I'm pretty sure we can give him an opportunity for a deer over a weekend. PM if interested. About an hour south of Montgomery.

My son's been hunting with me off and on the last 4 years and we've yet to see a deer when he was with me. Never thought I'd resort to this but I'm looking for somewhere to do a one or two day hunt so he can atleast see some deer. I dont think its bothering him as much as it is me. We have fun when we go but public land isn't the place to try to get a kid on his first deer... PM Sent

Would love to have you at our school hunt in Gordo. I have a guy that lets me hunt his place but he won't let me bring anybody but kids. PM. Me if you have any interest. We are very reasonable. $600 for 3 hunts or $800 for 4 hunts.
