Saw a thread on nose jammer on another forum. Some folks swear its the greatest invention ever especially in ridges and hollows. Ive never tried it but whats yall experience with it? I know the most important thing is to hunt the wind.

Theres nothing that can cover up the crap job malzahn does as head coach.

Going full "research geek" on this.

The science/tech behind it seems logical. After reading their product description and some fancy Googlin' I reached the notion that their product is a specially formulated cover scent. It may be a concentrate with additives that cause it to bind longer to olfactory hairs and receptors.

It's aroma compounds may also bind with human scent when facilitating "Olfactory Fatigue" thereby desensitizing the animal to our smell even when the current application of the product reaches the end of its effectiveness and our scent is more prevalent. That is, to say, our scent had been present in the animal's olfactory system but dismissed due to sensory overload. Then, as the effects of the product application wear off, our scent still benefits from Olfactory Fatigue.

Alternatively, as a suspected sensory binding additive-enhanced concentrate, it may monopolize olfactory receptor availability allowing our scent to pass beyond capture and detection for the duration of the effectiveness of the application of the product.

Here's some of the links that I used to reach my wild-azz assumptions:

tl;dr: Never used it and I could be wrong, but it just might work. When all else fails, spray Cald estrous on a Clorox stump.

It smells great. Whether it jams a deer's olfactory senses, who knows.

I've used it while hunting in a ground blind with a marginal wind direction. The verdict is still out for me. I didn't have any deer blow while using it, but some may have avoided me altogether.

Ive only been blown at a few times, ever. And thats not because Im an awesome hunter. They probably just avoid me altogether.

Don't you Goobers know deer have more nose receptors than dogs. Ye know what that means, you can shower in super duper soap, wear scentlock charcoal super suit, wear rubber hip boots, spray with super stealth spray, use ozonics and Nose Jammer, hold yer breath and it will not help any, none, nada damn bit. smirk

Wouldnt it be a Fraud if they advertised something that didnt work at all. I think it probably does help but nothing is going to fool a deer nose for long not to mention the other senses they use for self preservation

If you listen to the scent control / cover scent doesn't work crowd it must be fraud.
