The Boy Scouts compromised their morals and have no place to go but a downward spiral. My son was in line to be a 3rd generation Eagle Scout but we changed to Trail Life. Our troop, of which Attorney General Jeff Sessions earned his Eagle, folded up and made the move to Trail Life. We refused to compromise our morals for the sake of money.

What do you think is going to happen when you have teenage girls and boys on campouts together? Wait till the rape accusations start against other scouts or molestation claims against scout leaders. Especially when teenage girls turn up pregnant. It'll happen.

They are just going to be the "Scouts of America." Something I’ve noticed about leftists is, they are very good at coming up with a grievances and creating mobs to fight that grievance. All it takes is some stupid article from someplace like Vox saying “It’s time to talk about letting girls into Boy Scouts.” No it isn’t…that has literally never been an issue. Girls haven’t even made an issue out of it. So, on top of being able to take some benign concept or tradition and turn it into a crisis, they are able to tell people how to feel. They would kill it in the pharma sales game. They can literally walk up to a stranger on the streets and say “why aren’t you outraged about cotton in aspirin bottles?” Next thing you know they have an army of morons screaming in the streets about cotton in aspirin bottles. Newspapers are covering cotton in aspirin bottles for the next 45 days. Then you hear reports 5 people have died from cotton in aspirin bottles. I have come to realize their only goal is to spend their entire existence creating a crisis (usually based on discrimination or oppression) and destroy anything they can get ahold of. None of it has to be logical. You just have to have enough Joe Blow art majors sitting at the coffee shop in Berkeley waiting for marching orders. This fundamentalist religion of progressivism is the biggest threat we face. It is more dangerous than North Korea or Islamic Extremism.

What do you think is going to happen when you have teenage girls and boys on campouts together? and you won't have to...but I would encourage you both to replace your ignorance and educate yourselves on the facts of the proposed changes • Starting in 2018, families can choose Cub Scouts (1st - 5th grades) for their sons and daughters, enabling them to take advantage of the life-changing experiences provided through Scouting. • Chartered Organizations will have the choice to offer the girl option for Cub Scouts and the older girl program. They can choose to offer or not offer, it is up to the chartered organization. • An older girl Scouting program (6th - 12th grades) will be introduced in 2019, this is not a co-ed boy scout troop, but a single gender girl program, that will allow those girls involved to earn the Eagle Rank. • Cub Scout dens (again, 10yo and under) will be single-gender — all boys or all girls • Packs can be All Boys, All girls, or Girl Dens and Boy Dens • This unique approach allows us to maintain the integrity of the single-gender model while also meeting the needs of today’s families.

I was in scouts for about a year until I realized I was already doing all the stuff they were doing on my own. Scouts seemed to be tailored more to city boys

That is all true, however, their made up grievances and silly inconsequential gripes would go nowhere without the media and their wholesale leftist support. The media is the true enemy of this country, or at least what the media has become. Trump points that out every day. That is where their hatred of trump comes from, he has taken some of their absolute power and they can't stand it. It's got nothing to do with trumps political positions or racism or any of that, they are afraid they are losing their power and sway over the people and their influence on elections. Amen Recurve! Ive never seen so much hatred, vile, vitriol. Nothing Trump can do is positive, and it is not only negative,..but misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, anti islamic, ...INSTEAD of Pro American. Even his wife...her clothes are too expensive..her shoes not practical for boarding a plane...freaking ridiculous. However when Obama was in office..nothing he or Moochelle did was EVER wrong or bad. That is slick marketing wording. Progressives are masters at the slow fade. Little bit here, wait, little more..wait, etc... This is 100% about the Progressives with money and power corrupting the Scouting leadership and the Board and pushing this "neutral" agenda forward. A Godly moral based manly organization that promotes the outdoors was seen as a bad thing...so they attacked it. Scouts has been slowly changing for 20 years, as a result. Open Gay scouts, Open gay leaders, Trans, etc... They will not stop until the organization fits their liking. Cub Scout Packs are made up of dens...dens that all meet together and do most everything together. Dens do have their separate time and activities, but the mass of time the dens are together. I was a Cub Scout leader for a number of years. If it is ok to have co-ed Cub Scouts, then it will only be a couple of years to have co-ed Boy Scouts. They will wit a little bit and then push that.

So this was a topic of discussion before staff meeting this morning and there were some interesting views. One being that this is a move to increase enrollment to support salaries of the executives in Texas who reportedly make more than 1 million a year. As mentioned due to the horrible choices they have made enrollment is down so maybe this is a misguided way of trying to recover some of those numbers.
Seems crazy but makes sense if you follow the money.

I was a scout for years and my dad was a scout master for many more. Many good memories made in troop 9 in Livingston. Not sure if that troop is still active. Makes me sick thinking about what the wackos have done to it.

As an Eagle Scout that earned the rank at 16. I'm trying to think back what would go through my mind having a 16/17/18 year old female on campouts. I do remember liking girls very much at that time. The little head would have taken over the big head and you would not have became that Eagle Scout. Scouts at the top level has gone down the tubes and is motivated by political correctness and money driven.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread yet, but according to stories I read, The Girl Scouts are pretty pissed about the decision. They have their panties in a wad about it.
