I've got a 2500 with the 5.7 in it and it's been a good motor

Every Durango I've ever ridden in was uncomfortable and had a cheap feel/look to the interior. YMMV.

Don't know much about the durangos, but Dad has had Dodge 1500's with Hemi's ever since around 03-04 or when ever they started again. He hasn't had any issues and has put all of his trucks to the test.

Had an 03 Ram with the 5.7. it had 230,000 miles on it when I sold it for a gas saver. Miss that truck. As far as I know ow it's still driving around in MS. 13-14 mpg if you are coasting down hill in neutral or running 90 on the interstate. I would buy another one

I've owned two Dodges, there will not be another Chrysler product in my garage. YMMV

Have a 2013 300 and 2016 Ram. Both have the 5.7 Hemi. Really like them both. Using cruise control and driving no more than about 5 over limit, the 300 will average 24 to 25 mpg and the Ram 22 to 23.

We've taken newer Ram 5.7 pick-ups on business trips on several occasions and got similar mileage. The newer Dodge trucks get good mileage in my experience. That said, I don't see myself buying a Chrysler product any time soon, and that includes a Jeep. I just don't trust their reliability.

I had that engine in a dodge 1500 and never had a single problem. I currently have it in a 2006 dodge Durango. The engine works flawlessly. It get 14 mpg and has plenty of power. The problem with the durangos is if you go to dodgeforum.com you can read all about them. I have spent 3500.00 on the A/C in the last two years. I think I finally got it working now. there should have been several recalls for things they issued technical service bulletins for. Honestly, I love my Durango but I would not buy another.

My wife is on her second Durango with the Hemi. First was traded in when it had 165k on it and her new one (2015 Durango R/T) is pretty nice too. Neither Hemi has had a single problem - not one.

Search for water pump issues on google. Chrysler is not at the top of the reliability list.
