Dylan will complete his sixth week at Parris Island this Monday.You can tell in his letters that he is homesick but who wouldn't be.We have a close family so it wasn't like he was running away from anything.According to his letters the hard part is behind them except for the crusible.Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.After Camp Lejune he ships out to 29 palms and will be there about a year and a half so this is one daddy that's gonna be spending some time with his kid after graduation.

Congrats to both. I think if he's made it this far then there shouldn't be much standing in his way. For me getting through the first two weeks and swim qual. I remember starting out with 75 and only graduating with about 20 or 25 of the original platoon.
I don't envy that 29 Stumps trip at all. I know it's changed in 30 years but I still haven't heard anything good about that place.

I was at 29 Palms in 1994. Way different landscape compared to Alabama. Congrats to your son!

Congrats ... mine is on week 4 at 29 palms . He has no complaints as of yet except said they tried to drown him at basic.
