Eat a can of frozen orange juice concentrate and then spray it down good with cald, wait 10 mins and whack with it with a hammer

What kind of man doesn't have a grinder or sawzall? That's as standard to a mans toolbox as duct tape. Come on people! smile

Yep, the one I have on my other hitch is pretty hard to unlock, even with the key. like it's rusted up inside. Need to spray some WD40 or graphite or something up in it to see if it loosens up a bit.

Go to the local John Deere or other tractor dealer and see if they have a can of Fluid Film. Spray so it seeps into every crevice on the lock. Wait an hour and unlock it.

Someone interpret this please. I am extremely curious what was trying to be said here.

Seems like a well stated and clear process of removing a trailer lock pin to me.

Either a torch or a side grinder with a Metabo blade. Just make sure you aim it so the sparks don't eat up your paint

Seen dealerships get trade-ins with the locks in the receiver like that. They used a big crow bar and hooked the fork behind the lock end and popped it off.

Battery sawzall with a metal cutting blade. Should take about a minute, if that.

Don't use a side grinder unless you wear a full face shield.

so far the sawz-all with a metal cutting blad is sounding like the best option if y'all think it can handle a 1/2" stainless steel pin.

No kidding... grin

If you were closer I would say just bring it by my house with a 6 pack of beer and we would have it off there in a few minutes.

I'd hit that thing right on the key hole about 3-10 times with a hammer before trying anything else.
I had one like that and just hit it a few times with a hammer on the end and it dropped right off.
You can also use a piece of pipe to work it back and forth to break it off as well.

Took a grinder to one I had and it was off fairly quick.
