Rode a dang bicycle 1.56 miles yesterday morning at Cahaba and then walked a half mile in to my listening spot. Had a bird gobbling at 6 am. Then blew him off the roost trying to get to close. The ride/walk back out was not enjoyable. Hopefully I can catch up with him again in a few days.

Got a few birds gobbling this morning and had two jakes come in looking for love but the big gobbler wanted to strut 100yards away with his hens. Tomorrow I got his number and know where he likes to play

If I was one of the true slayers on here I would be posting pictures...Had one hot to trot, but he stayed in the bottom. Jakes or hens, I am not sure came up to see me. Only saw one head for a split second. It popped up and immediately went down and putted all the way back down the hill. I believe the fancy camo suit I wanted is way to light for around here. Bought the ASAT leafy suit. Far to much light tan in it. The other few birds I heard walking away slower but he never gobbled after that. Should have sucked it up and dropped into the bottom when I heard him coming. Oh well, next time.
