As you saw from my other posts, Im interested in hunting Kansas, and possibly Illinois this year.

However another possibility is Kentucky.

Im looking into several leases, from Christian, Crittenden counties, to Hart, Wayne, Grayson, Adair, and a few others. All are off the I 65 corridor.

Ive spoken with 2 members who are interested...looking to see if anyone else is.

Its looking like the costs will be 1500 - 1750 per person. Turkey and One buck as per KY laws.

Seeing how interested folks are.
Ive found leases from 150 to 1200 acres. Looking to see what would be best and affordable...

If you are interested let me know.

Also still looking at Illinois leases. The good part there is you can get 2 tags, archery and gun. In KY it is one buck total.

Let me know what if your interested and what you would prefer.

Thanks,

ODO

You get 2 turkeys, however only one buck. The firearm season IS during the rut.

Early archery, velvet bucks, a x bow season, an early muzzle loader season.

Check it out and let me know.

Thanks.

If you hunt Kentucky stick to Christian, crittenden, hart,or Grayson counties on your list. North Christian county is prime for big bucks. That being said, I've seen booners taken from all four of these counties. Christian and crittenden counties have higher deer densities than hart and Grayson.

I had a 1100 acre lease in Grayson for a while...and those are 4 of the counties Im interested in. Wayne cty is a little too far but they shot 3-4 of the top bucks, BC, non typical AND typical in 2015 there.

I have a fairly BIG lease offered there ( over 600 acres) ...over 80% woods too. Thats huge to me..having that much woods..and The rest crop land.
