So again my atv isnt running. 2004 foreman with 720 miles on it. It ran fine but the carb had a leak. Obviously the float needle dried out from sitting. So i had my shadetree tenant (who somehow makes a meager living working on small engines) throw a carb kit in. Then it ran like garbage. His solution is to install a $50 chinese carb off ebay. It ran fine for 30 minutes. Then the idle mix screw unadjusted itself. This carb wont stay in adjustment for more than a few minutes. Of course he tossed (or sold) the factory carb which could easily have been fixed im sure. Now im stuck paying $240 for an oem honda carb. Guys dont ever drop your atv off with a guy who has 8 teeth and half case of natty light. And more importantly dont ever buy a chinese atv carb!

He probably fixed your carb with the rebuild kit, took an old carb off another four wheeler and put on yours, then sold your carb for about $250.00 and bought some natty lights and a bag of weed.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Nor a long haired, brown headed, 25 year old guy from Guntersville.

Don't ever take one to a guy that looks... well, just like me. B/c I generally hate working on them....lol!
Can you find one from a salvaged unit?

I've known several people to order the cheap carbs off Amazon with out problems. I did for my Yamaha big Bear and it's been running like a top for 1.5 yrs now.
Good luck getting it going. I absolutely hate mechanic work.
