means there's traffic which is good. the buck part of it is pretty meaningless. little bucks? night time bucks? hard to say. when those bucks drop their heads and start loping along day and night with the tongue hangin out, suddenly a fresh rub is an old sign. still might be the optimum location to hunt though. good luck

Smart move. If ever possible, use your game cameras to their full potential. Thieves are another issue if on public areas.

Personally, I'll take in the flesh deer sightings over deer sign if I am flipping a coin on a spot. Rubs and scrapes are exciting, but I have much better luck hunting what I know are travel routes or food areas, rather than setting up on a specific sign.

I'd study the topo map close to where you saw those rubs and look for a terrain feature that may determine his movement, and set up on that.
