I have a wooden dowel rod marked that I use. If I had to guess, about 1/8 of an inch. That would be really close. Ive been shooting the set up for 2 seasons and don't know half of what a lot of these other guys do- but think most people shooting automatics are trimming the hulls. Thats about how much i trim mine. I dont measure...I just trim off the chamfered portion of the hull. I just follow the line where the chamfer stops (CD taught me that trick).

I just bought a Weatherby SA459 for my 20 ga semi-auto turkey gun. Folks that have used these guns seem to really like em....and you cant beat the price. I'm looking forward to getting out and seeing how it does on paper.

The affinity is a fine little gun. It's what I have toted to the woods the last two springs.
As for chokes mine liked the Undertaker High Density .582 ported with the current 1 7/8 oz load of #8 TSS I'm shooting through her. This setup will kill a gobbler WAY on out there, I saw it happen several times this spring. I shoot an affinity too with a .585 Trulock with the 1 5/8 oz 9's but I am gonna change to the set up Mike is using. It's damn lethal on a Midwest public land gobbler whose been hunted all spring and just doesnt want to come the extra 10 yards. Mikes setup was the difference in us toting gobblers instead of hiking back to the truck empty handed!!

I'm currently running the 1 5/8 loads with my affinity. Has anyone experiment with the Undertaker High Density with the 1 5/8 load? If so, was there a noticeable difference? I am currently getting about 250 in 10" with 8.5's.

x2 on the Weatherby SA-549. They get some great reviews. I plan on ordering one myself in the next week or two.

I'm gonna tote an Affinity this spring. Think I messed up though. I bought a Carlson's on eBay and it's flush rather than extended. May have to experiment, buy another tube. I think the Carlson's is .575. I've not played with it yet.

All I have is the load data for #9's I got from Hawg lips. I use the 12ga #9 load for those long shots in KS...but 20 ga that can reach as far as my 12..that would be sweet. I like the price of those undertaker chokes from HS.

Mossberg SA 20 with the factory turkey choke. Can't imagine needing a better pattern. The TSS is the key.

I have an Affinity with a Carlson's .575 extended choke, shooting 1 5/8 oz of TSS #9's (2 3/4") no feeding problems, no ejection problems, no hull trimming. 6lbs 7oz empty. 338 pellets in a 10" circle @ 40 measured yards.

I am getting some 20s made this season. I switched last year in my 12 to TSS and i had 2 hunts with people that crippled turkeys wasnt pot shots they just screwed up and I am hear to tell you we would have lost those birds if it wasnt for my gun and TSS. I dont promote long shots but if a birds wounded and I have a possibility to finish it of I will empty my gun. I wont say how far they were but 60 aint nothing with tss. I will shoot it long as i can get it!! Awesome pattern!

I had a problem with 3in roll crimps feeding in my 20ga M2. My fold crimps feed perfectly. 1 5/8 TSS
