You have to harvest a game animal to record it in game check? Correct?
If you have not harvested a game animal, then there is no record in game check?correct?
Yet you still have to have a harvest record in your possession while hunting? Correct?
This thread started over a man getting a ticket for hunting without a harvest record. He got a ticket. Why did he not just show him the game check app although he didn't harvest anything?
You see the gap here?

IDOT he's a newbie, at least give him 500 posts before you run him off ! No worries in running me off, I have been around a long time. I would rather spend my time in the outdoors as trying to reach 500 posts. I have also learned over the years that there are certain posters that you read when they post as they are not some rube like others that just post bullsh!t.

Yes, Strutter, your own personal info is stored offline on your phone, as well as the Game Check portion being available offline as well.
If they told you that, then they had NO confidence that the app would work.....which was justifiable! LOL
But, it still contradicts the official stance of the folks in Montgomery.

I watched the video on Alabama Outdoors explaining exactly how game check works this year. I can take a picture of my license and show GW the picture and I am legal because I never carry license or my wallet hunting, for fear of losing it but ALWAYS have my phone on me.
Is it Hunting Season Yet?

Possession of a smartphone with the Outdoor Alabama app will be accepted in lieu of a paper Harvest Record. During Your Hunt: You must always carry your Harvest Record, your hunting license and a pen or pencil while hunting. You must fill out the Harvest Record with the date and type of animal taken BEFORE moving the animal. This includes all deer and turkeys. I am only going to say this ONE time...what you just said IS NOT THE REGULATION AND CARRIES ABSOLUTELY NO WEIGHT IN COURT. PERIOD DAMNITT. ONLY THE WORDING OF THE ACTUAL REGULATION CARRIES ANY WEIGHT IN COURT.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

If I get a ticket because my phone died in between the time I recorded a deer and got checked then I'm gonna make that fella stand in front of a judge and look like a dadgum idiot at the taxpayers' expense. I swear some of y'all are as scared of a game warden as a possum is a hoe handle.
