I had a Accupoint 3x9x40 with the amber mil dot. The reticle and weight of the scope was awesome. The glass was really crisp and clear but the low light performance was just ok,, in my opinion. I had a meopta meopro (cheaper model) 3x9x42 that was every bit as good and maybe a little better. For the money I think there are better scopes for my needs. The tritium reticle is very cool and the weight is probably the lightest in its class would be the positives.

Buddy has a trijicon 1x4-24 on an AR15 with tritium dot. Being low power you can see through it at midnight. I think they make that model in a 1-6x now and it would probably make a good food plot scope

I have a an accupoint 56mm and really like it. Only thing is the tritium only get dimmer with time, I think it'll last up to 10 or 12 years?

They have great glass, and will hold up to heavy recoil rifles. Buddy has one on his .500 S&W Encore.

Ive got an accupoint and really like it
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I've looked at the Acvupower and Accupoiny trying to decide if it's $300-$350 difference in the two Same glass, the accupower is battery powered and heavier than the tritium accupoint. The glass on the Meopta Meostar and the Bushnell Elite 6500 are noticeably better in low light in my opinion. I really liked the trijicon but after hunting a few times with it I just didn't think it was as good in low light as the other two scopes I mentioned.

I agree I can not speak to the newer models but I had a Trijicon several years ago and did not think the low light performance was particularly good. I've got the same gripe with Sightron. If you are going to shoot paper with it not a big deal.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I like the Accupoints a lot. I've got two of the 3-9x40's with the green dot/mil-dot reticles on lightish weight hunting rifles. Being able to see that little dot at dark (and no batteries) is friggin awesome and the mil-dot is very handy/clean for simple holdover shooting with a little practice. I wouldn't pay what they are new at most places, but I have gotten deals on slightly used ones twice being patient. To my eyes, I the glass is a little more crisp and bright in low light than the Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40's I had as well as the Leupold VX-3's I still have. I like em.

I will say this I got some trigger time on a Conquest HD5 a couple weeks ago.... and scope was not clear to the edge. In fact it was quite blurry at the edge but was clear in the center. But it was really noticeable to me. Zeiss is really slipping IMO.

I've been shooting one on my 270 since the mid-90s. They have held up great and are lightweight. I had the 6x56 until last year. The tritium finally died. Called the company to see if they could replace the tritium, but they stopped doing that some years back. Told me if I sent my 20yr scope to them, they would give me 50% off any of their scopes. I'm sporting a new 2.5-10X56 now. Great company in my experience and a great scope.

I read today a guy dropped his Accupower and slightly bent the ocular,or maybe objective. He sent it in and Trijicon said it couldn't be fixed and only offered him a slight discount toward a new scope on his year old scope.
I understand it wasn't the fault of the scope manufacturer but I was very interested because I have been considering a Trijicon and I know it would have been a totally different outcome with at least two other manufacturers.

Ones I've seen are some kinda fine. Clear , not too heavy and the dot without a battery is great. I'd own one if they had a little heavier reticle.
