...you have a "I hate a thief" thread.
I was so excited to go check out my camera this morning. It's been out for a week and I felt like it was in a great spot. I'm probably being pretty optimistic/naive, but I'm still new in all this and I was pumped!
Well, camera is gone. I know exactly where I put it. I looked all around just to make sure...it gone. Was really bummed, but it happens I guess. I'll just deal with no camera this season, I know its not necessary but dang they are fun to check! Not to mention money down the drain!

Sorry to hear that. There should be a lot of used ones on the market based on how many have been stolen.

I guess this is on your newly acquired club land? The best you can do is have a deterrent. A Python cable lock, lock box, a secondary camera to watch your camera, etc.. Again, they are only deterrents. I have started buying a little higher-end cameras with a lock code for access to turn it on. If they don't have the code, it is pretty much inoperable to the thief.

I wanted to give props on a cheap camera I recently bought, So I have 2 nice browning cams that were very expensive so I thought I had very high expectations, but I recently bought a 30 dollar primos easy cam just to have another. Now no way does it have anywhere close to the feature of my Browning cams but turn it on the time is accurate and it has taken 1700 pics in the last month very well, so if you want to drop 30 bucks I suggest that one.

Hard to beat a $30 camera that functions and is dependable.
Me and my son had 3 Stealth P12 between us.
We had to send all 3 back. They sent us replacements. Im not knockin the camera but I went ahead and bought 2 Browning Strike Force Elites.Little more money but so far Im pleased with em

I'll second this. I don't own one but found one on some family land that a trespasser had put out over a corn pile. Thing took good pictures and few false triggers. I found out who it was and gave the camera back, deleted the pictures, with a stern warning about the consequences if it happens again.
