What are some options. Just got a letter saying it was going up to $835. That's over $10,000 a year! It's more than I pay for my 2100sq ft house mortgage!!! This is bullshit.

I feel your pain. Cobra is costing me $1600.00/month. I used to get a nice BC/BS plan that provided good coverage and co-pays. This plan used to cost us about $500+/month now that policy is $1200.00/month with a $13,000.00 deductible.

Just wait until Obama Care self implodes, which is well on its way with insurers bailing out of the exchanges. Government forced insurers to extend coverage to those they would never insure, with most of these people getting tax credits to negate their cost of insurance, so someone has to pay for it. Unfortunately, that will be us, the 49 or 50 percent of the population that actually pays taxes. It is a broken system that will only get worse.

Any private industry that has the power to influence lawmakers into requiring an individual to purchase the product they produce is a despicable scam.
Add into that a whole genre of scumbag lawyers who leverage the back end of that same messed up system and it all goes down the crapper.

Just wait like Jughead55 said, what is happening with O'care is what it was set up to do....FAIL..... yup they knew the way it was set up would never be able to work, the end game is a true single payer system so all of us worker bees pay an extra tax for health care....since all the doctors and nurses will be government employees that get paid a heck of a lot less than they make now the tax won't be as much as you pay now for health insurance but the quality of care will be way way lower, I mean how many people do you think will want to pay 2-3 hundred thousand to be a doc that makes 50 thousand a year.......

There just aren't enough folks on private insurance to keep the boat afloat anymore. And the ones that are are paying the silly little $50/month or whatever, which is basically free.
