Well tiller locked down on me. Garden wasn't as smooth as I would have liked but seeds in the ground anyway. Harbor freight has 6.5 hp side shaft engines for 120$ so I guess I'm gonna swap out engines.

congrats, I know yer pain....
I spent half a day yesterday swapping out a motor on a Troy-bilt tiller, had one with a blown motor and another with a blown transmission?.
My old $75 front tine tiller is still going strong after I bought it badly used six years ago.....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I put one of the harbor freight engines on mine 3 years ago and it is still going strong, but yesterday my tiller took a crap...the tines won't engage for some reason...

I have an old Troybilt with a 6hp Briggs. It smokes sometimes but it's 15 years old. I guess I'll swap out with a HF motor when it gives up.
