The loading decks were a pain. Took a lot of work to get them plowed decently. And lots of lime and fertilizer to get them to grow anything.

I read an article once that said that you should have 1 small plot per 10 acres no bigger than 1/2 acre. start off plant different crops on your plots to see what the deer like best in your area. The reason for the 1/2 acre is that deer tend to avoid the large plots in the daytime and will use them at night. They seem to feel a little safer in the smaller plots.

sometimes loading zones are the only option on leased timber co lands. Every thing else is planted pines.
