While I like the look of the AvianX decoys and I know plenty of people that use them, I can't get over the fact they are inflatable. Specifically speaking, once a pellet goes through one, they won't stay inflated anymore. Even after several attempts with different types of glue, wader sealant, etc. The DSD might cost a little more, but you don't have the problem with relying on air to make sure your decoy doesn't look emaciated after the slow leak has taken over.

I didn't buy the whole flock. All I have ever used is a hen and an old fan if I needed it.

I have three of them and love them. Try not to shoot when beside my decoy but they say they self plug.

I may just be an exception to the rule. I had one piece of shot in the back of mine. I tried alot of different things to keep it from leaking but in the end that thing got thrown into the pile of stuff I don't use anymore. After about 20 minutes into the hunt that hen would look more run down than a hooker on the southern bypass in Montgomery.

I leave the valves open on mine. So if a pellet was to hit them it would not be a issue.

Yea they say that their self healing. I haven't shot mine so I don't know but I have watched a video on it before. And rtv silicon will solve your problem with leaking if applied right
