My yard chickens are laying all over the place, I guess they think it is spring or something. I found two of them settin on eggs so it will be more chicks soon.

We are ranging anywhere from 15-22 a day from 28 hens.

Since a hawk got 3 of my chickens production has been down. Have four left and one has went broody.

Damm hawks have been a real problem this last year. We have a bunch of big azaleas they hide under and if it wasn't for them I don't know if I would have any left.

Those kind of hens make great chicken & dumplings! :-P Reckon if I dress one at a time the rest might straighten up and fly right?  Don't know what their problem is...they're well fed, free choice food and water, same coop and nest boxes they've always laid in. Not moulting...I'll give 'em about another month to get going again, then bring in the Replacement Hens!

Mine are laying great right now. I think I have 39 hens and in getting at least 24 a day. I also have 2 broody hens I'm letting sit on nest and a couple more that want to.
