I've been trying to put my girlfriend on a good deer but haven't had time to hunt a 2hole lot lately. We were gonna make the trip down to Dallas/Lowndes counties where we have a few tracks of land but last night I decided to stay home and work today and sent a buddy down to hunt the cleaarcut we were going to hunt. Wouldnt you know it, I get a text from my other buddy about 11am saying my buddy that was hunting the clearcut had killed a 10 pt. Needless to say the girlfriend's not too happy with me right now and won't let me live it down. Deer was tore up from fighting so much so that they had trouble finding the bullet hole from all the puncture wounds as well as one almost gouged out. Shes still happy for our buddy but not too happy with me at the moment. I cant post pics from this fricking tablet thing but if someone will text me that can post em up, id appreciate it! Are you talking about J.L's place on the right about a mile or so before the pavement ends? We're NNE of Col. Miles old place, used to have the house that burned and all the land around as well as a cpl more tracts adjoining it. We let it all go after the house burned and just kept a tract we own south of Lit bottom, that tract has produced some good deer over the last 25 years..

I'm learning, about how old is that deer? not trying to start anything. You always here I let a 3.5 go or I only shot 4.5 or older. To me the deer looks young under 3 am I right or way off base. Give me your reasons on age if you can. Just trying to get me some education on deer.
