Well, it was another good season at the farm!!! I was not able to kill a buck this season, but I put 3 does in the freezer and that'll do me til next year...I could've killed a ton of small bucks, but I only saw 2 bucks all year that were up to my standards. Unfortunately, I wounded the first one and never recovered him. I only saw the second good buck for about 10 seconds and wasn't able to get a shot at him. It was a frustrating season for me (buck wise).

Other than my rotten "buck luck", it was a great year for everyone else! My Dad killed his best bow buck and also killed his highest scoring deer with a gun too! A friend of mine killed a nice 8 point at our farm too. My 12 year old cousin killed his first deer ever while hunting with us...We saw more deer than ever this year and we've got high hopes for next year too!!!

Here's the bucks that were killed at our place this year:

My Dad's best bow buck ever:

My friend's 8 point (3rd year in a row that he's killed a good buck with us, hunting as a guest):

My Dad's best buck ever (aka "Mack Daddy") 135 7/8":

I tend to do most of my "shooting" with my camera lol. Here's some of my "shots" from this year:

It's a very special place that really helps me and my Dad to keep our sanity. I stay so busy at work that I need to go over to the farm and just unwind sometimes (hunting, fishing, bush hogging, burning, etc.). I'm not sure what I'd do without this place! Yes, we work our tails off there year-round, but it's well worth it. We put a lot of "sweat equity" into our place, but it's not really like work whenever you enjoy it so much!
