I've used it and it kept deer off pea's until i took it down. The key is to follow the directions to a "t". The tape needs to be 30", i believe. Keep the tape sprayed, especially after a rain. It took the deer a few days to figure out i took it down. That was 15 years ago, haven't used it lately.

Look for ways to reduce waste of the chemical used. Perhaps use a small paint roller to reapply rather than spraying where 90% of it will end up blown away rather than on the tape.

Ok so my plan is too plant some eagle beans this summer! Which month should I plant and how long after do I put up the plot saver?

Ivory Man you must give the deer an option if yOU have a high deer density. For example if you plant 3 acres tape around 2.5 acres, leave .5 outside the tape for the deer to eat. If you give them an option they will not go through the plot saver to eat. This will give the beans in the tape enough time to start growing good. Our little 1-2 acre plots will get 5 feet high by September and we remove the tape and the deer hammer them. Normally deer will eat all the beans by about the 1st week of December or so.

If my photo bucket would work I would post some pics.

I've seen Ben2's pictures. His method works like a charm.

Spray fish emulsion on your plot, it's much cheaper and works very well. At $8 a bottle you can't beat it as a deer repellant.
