I'm here in Walker co. In a ground blind watching over a plot and some cutover. Seen 11 here yesterday evening including one big 8 that I let walk. Hoping the other good buck I had on camera shows at some point. Rain is not far away from me at all

Three so far. Yearling then a doe then a cowhorn. Come on Big boy.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

I am sick. Stud 8 did what i have been wanting one to do. Was ready and bow drawn. Got to 30 and he was walking and did a light grunt with mouth. He wheeled around so fast and ran i couldn't believe it.

Just means there is a much bigger deer in there that one was scared of.

Or the coyotes that just crossed were on him. Tried to stop 1 of the 5 to no avail. They were on a mission. I hope it was your reason though.

A couple of weeks ago I had one gonna cross a roadbed at 50 yards (49 actually). Knew it would be such a quick shot I had to stop him in the road, but it put him on alert and at that distance he jumped string on me. Don't know what I shoulda/coulda done different...that's too far to try a snap-second walking shot.

Slayer, I saw a small buck harassing a does about a week ago and thought it was going to get good, then I saw two mature does this past weekend and not a thing. I think we should start seeing it come in soon. I am assuming you are hunting in Dale County. I am in Coffee County.
