Ok the Winchester 150 power points didn't shoot that great out of the new Ruger American .308 compact. What would you try next? Core Lokts? Hornadys? Would you try 165s or 180s? The 150 Power Points were good enough to kill a deer but it wasn't a clover leaf group by any means.

165s Hornady Federal Remington...or you could start handloading.Varget powder would be a good starting powder with that .308.

150 grain Nosler ballistic tip or Accubond. Both are bad news in my 308.

Federal fusion 150s shoot well out of my wife's American. Try the 165s too. Ok the Winchester 150 power points didn't shoot that great out of the new Ruger American .308 compact. I have always shot 165's in .308 at game. Guns always seemed to like them.

I Haven' found a .308 that wouldn't shoot the 165gr Hornady Custom BTSP. My 30-06 American will shoot 150gr core lokt and the 165gr custom equally well with both coming in sub MOA

I don't buy ammo for my 308 but if I did I try fusions first.
