just remember to bend at the waist or you'll shoot high !
Ok I'm being completely serious. Is this a running joke, kinda like that clorox stump thing (whatever the heck that is) or is this seriously something that has to be done?
I got my first (and only) bow kill last year from a 16' ladder stand and I don't remember bending at the waist unless I just naturally did it. Now the deer was uphill from me so it was an almost level shot.
I keep thinking about this every time someone says it but it just doesn't make sense to me. If I draw a straight line from my eye, through my peep site, through my pin, and to my target, how can it make any difference what position my body is in (as long as I'm reasonably balanced and not moving)?
Did anyone ever have to lean slightly one way or another or squat a little or even get up on your tip toes to avoid some obstacle just to be able to get a shot? How would you bend at the waist under those conditions?
I've only ever let one arrow go at a deer and was successful but as I said there was not much difference between that shot and me standing in my backyard target shooting.
