If I were hunting the southwest side as you are south wood I'd hit the hemlocks on the creek in this wind .

Only heard 3 shots and got sandwiched in between 2 jacklegs left came to work. Don't understand people trying to climb within bow range of your tree your in on rifle hunts.

2 deer where checked in by 12pm. Everyone come on out this place is crawling with deer. 
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!

I'm actually in shock. With almost 500 people hunting on 35,000 acres you'd think deer would get killed for no more reason that they are being pushed around into hunters. Ive seen plenty of deer out here this bow season, and saw three this morning. Just no shooters. I think these deer are holed up in thick cover moving where hunters can't see them. The wind was brutal on ridge tops today.

Part of the problem is people don't hunt long enough. Most folks are done and back at the check station to see what's been killed by 9 am. Heck the folks that killed deer are still dragging or sitting.

A lot of spectators. Very few hunters.

My pops connected on Black Warrior this morning, it was really windy but we made it happen. A few weeks worth of cyber scouting to pick the right ridge and a 2:30am arrival to claim our road was worth it.

I saw alot of trucks and Orange today. Wind was terrible. Finally saw a doe standing on the roadside on our way out.
